Charles T. Kelly, a pioneer miner and business man of this county, died at Providence last Saturday.

He was seated at a table playing a game of cards with a party of friends, when he suddenly turned lightly around in his chair and expired, holding five of the cards in his hand.

He was about 56 years of age. He resided in Stanton in the early days and has been a familiar figure in most of the mining districts in this county in the past quarter of a century.

He was an honorable man and his death is regretted by all who knew him.
