| Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 <<< Rufus L. Terry, passed away after a short illness Nov. 29, 2016. He was born to James and Ruby Terry in Jefferson County, Arkansas. He graduated from White Hall in Pine Bluff, Ark. Rufus was a southern gentleman, truly one of a kind. He loved to talk and tell interesting stories. As an RVer, he was a member of Foretravel and Sam’s Club, taking nine trips to Alaska. He loved going to the lake in Arkansas to fish with a brother-like friend, James Sutton. Rufus was a business owner/truck dealer and a master at anything mechanical. Rufus is survived by loving partner Mary Butler, son Sammy Raye Terry, three grandchildren: Kristy, Danny and Lisa and two great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mom, dad, and three brothers: James, Russal and Thomas, wife Carolyn Terry, a daughter Renee Terry, four half-brothers and one half-sister. A celebration of life will be at a later date. |
