Richard H. Bernell Bass

Richard H.B. Bass 78, of Prescott Valley, passed away December 10, 2016. He was born in Rutledge, Alabama, to James Bass and Grace Pettis.

He went to Luverne High School in Alabama, he attended Sedillia College in Missouri.

Richard chose the United State Air Force for his career of 20 years, of which he was very proud. He loved horses, and riding, he raised several National and State Champions which lead to a 20-year career as a competitive judge. Most recently, Richard worked at Mountain Valley Rehabilitation Hospital as a van driver, he loved working and helping people.

He enjoyed traveling with his wife Claudia, he was a kind, loving man, wonderful husband, and friend.

He is survived by his wife Claudia Brooks Bass; his son Tracy Bass of Enid, Oklahoma; Stepson Mike Tyndale (Carol) of Murrietta, California, Mark Tyndale of Sacramento, California, Bud Tyndale (Linda Marie) Prescott, Arizona, Brett Tyndale (Barbara) San Jacinto, California, and eight grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday January 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the VA Chapel 500-89, Prescott, Arizona, with military honors.

Arrangements entrusted to Sunrise Funeral Home.
