CHAMBERS, Orville L.

Orville L. Chambers, a Sun City resident since 1990, died at the age of 84 on Dec. 3, 2003 in Sun City. Orville was born August 22, 1919 in Detroit, Michigan to Wilbur Chambers and Gladys Norton. After living in Independence, MO he moved to AZ in 1947 and made his home in Avondale for the next 43 years. He was a most loving father and raised his children to enjoy the outdoors, work hard, and become wonderful parents themselves. He worked for Goodyear Aerospace as a maintenance supervisor for over 30 years.

His beloved wife Jeanne passed away in 1989. Following her death he moved to Sun City, where he continued to enjoy roller skating, ballroom dancing and his many friends. He is survived by his children, Judy Johnson of Spokane, WA, Michael Chambers of Dallas, TX, David Chambers of Thousand Oaks, CA, Mark Chambers and Elaine Chambers of Prescott, Az, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by his beloved companion Sarah Catherine Hobbs of Sun City, and dearest friend, Barbara Allen of Sun City. Services will be held, Dec. 13th at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd, Sun City AZ 85351 Published in the Arizona Republic on 12/10/2003.
