Virginia (Ginny) Dawn Hulsey, age 80, passed away on Feb. 11, 2017 after battling Alzheimer’s for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Norm Hulsey of Prescott, Arizona; daughter and son-in-law Sabrina (Roger) Foley of McKinney, Texas; and sister and brother-in-law Bobbie (Hervey) Heywood of Derry, New Hampshire.

She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and moved to Boston, Massachusetts, after high school where she met and married her husband, Norm.

Ginny was always ahead of her time, setting up food co-ops, learning about organic gardening, and being an avid exerciser well before any of those activities became popular.

She and Norm lived all over the United States, from Boston, Massachusetts, to Honolulu, Hawaii, then to both southern and the central coast of California, then back to the East Coast in Charleston, South Carolina before settling in Prescott, Arizona.

In the 60s she was active in politics, traveling with Ronald Reagan as one of the “mobile maids” in Reagan’s quest for the California Governorship. She worked as a bookkeeper for several small businesses until her retirement in 1993. Her love of life and vivacious personality will be missed.

Special thanks to the staff of the Margaret T. Morris center for their superb care and loving support.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Heritage Memory Mortuary. Please visit www.heritagemortuary.com to sign Ginny’s online guestbook.
