Wickenburg (AZ) Sun Friday, March 12, 1948, p 1 Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Wickenburg Chapel for Mrs. Mae Lambert, wife of Earl Lambert, whose unexpected death from a heart attack last Friday morning, was a great shock to her many friends here in Wickenburg. She passed away at Community Hospital to which she was taken following the attack, but lived only a few hours. Mr. and Mrs. Lambert had been visiting in Wickenburg for several weeks at the home of Mrs Grace Lambert, widow of Mr. Lambert's late brother, "Buck" Lambert. They had planned to leave for their home in San Diego, Calif., the day of her death. Although not in robust health, Mrs Lambert had not complained particularly of any illness up until the morning she was stricken. Born in Houston, Mo., on December 9, 1900, Mrs. Lambert came West in the early 20's and she and Mr Lambert were married soon thereafter. They celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary this month. Besides her husband, Mrs Lambert is survived by her mother, Mrs Ada Smith of Houston, Mo., a brother, Lee, of the same place and another brother, Leonard, of Valdez, Alaska. The mother and two brothers came here for the funeral, Leonard coming by plane from his home in Alaska. Burial took place in the Wickenburg Cemetery. See Also: Find a Grave |
