Richard B. Clarke, of Wickenburg, died Sept 9 in Sun City West. He was 79.

Mr Clarke was born Sept 10, 1915 in Niagara Falls, NY. He had lived in Arizona for 16 years.

He was a member of St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wickenburg and a member of the choir. He was a 43-year member of the Wickenburg Elks Lodge No. 2160 holding every office except Exalted Ruler. Mr Clarke belonged to the Knights of Columbus.

He was an associate member of the Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Ambassadors Club, and was head judge for the Gold Rush parade for many years.

Mr Clarke is survived by his wife, Mary, of Wickenburg, son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Susie of Oxnard, Calif., Jerauld and Susan of San Clemente, Calif., Bryan and Tina of Morristown; son and companion Robert and Cathleen of Wickenburg; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four sisters; and two brothers.

Services will be held Saturday, Sept 16 at 10am at St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Father John Vogt will officiate. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.

Arrangements were handled by Brown's Wickenburg Funeral Home.
