George Violetta, who owned and operated a ranch in the Aguila area for many years and was well known in Wickenburg where he visited frequently, passed away at his home in Yarnell March 22.

He had retired a number of years ago.

Funeral services were held at 1pm last Saturday in the Wickenburg Funeral Home with the Rev Scott Siegel officiating and burial followed in the Aguila Cemetery.

Mr Violetta, who also ranched at one time in Williams, was 69 years of age. He was a native of Missouri and had lived in Arizona half a century.

He is survived by his wife Celia of Yarnell, a son George Jr, Blythe, Calif; a brother, Pete Massey of Mayer and a sister Mrs Rose Mustaketti of San Francisco. Three grandchildren also survive.
