TAYLOR, Ronald David
April 9th, 1940 - May 4th, 2009

Ronald David Taylor, 69, of Casa Grande, passed away at home Monday, May 4, 2009 with his family by his side. Ronald was born in Scranton, PA on April 9, 1940. He graduated from Girard College Philadelphia Orphanage for fatherless boys in 1957. He continued to be an advocate for the children of the college and the bonds between his Girard brothers remained strong throughout his life.

He was employed at the PA Power & Light Company for 25 years and retired as the Regional Area Manager of Monroe County. He was co-founder and life member of Jefferson Township Volunteer Fire Co. and Ambulance, Jefferson Township Lions Club, member of the boards of Monroe County Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Pocono Mt. Vacation Bureau, Pocono Mt. Industrial Park, Pocono Hospital, American Red Cross, American Heart Association, Scranton-Pocono Girl Scout Counsel, and life member and former president of Stroudsburg Rotary International. He was a "Jack of all Trades," Master of Plenty, a "joker" at heart, and always willing to help anyone; and was an "active politician." He was a "wonderful husband and a devout father and friend to his children." He truly loved his family unconditionally. He is loved and will be missed by a "million" friends and family. He will be remembered and talked about everyday!

Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Sandra Taylor of Casa Grande, AZ; his daughter, Ann Marie Keilty and her daughters, Alicia of Danbury, CT and Sara Keilty, and son, Carl Anthony Holweg all of Auburndale, FL; daughter, Tracy Taylor-Leon of Auburndale, FL; daughter, Renee Taylor (son, Timothy Ryan and daughter, Tamara Lynn O'Boyle who preceded their grandfather in death) of Mt. Cobb, PA; daughter, Patricia Taylor and her daughters, Nikolette and Matison McCloe and sons, Cameron and Brett Lance McCloe all of Scranton, PA; daughter, Melissa Hackman of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Aimee Hackman of Tempe, AZ; brother, Richard Taylor of Owego, NY; brother, Caleb Taylor of Binghamton, NY; sister, Karen Gallagher and her son, Jonathan Gallagher of Ruskin, FL; 15 nieces and nephews, 18 grandnieces and grandnephews; and last but not least, his 4-legged "children", Sami, Arizona, Rota and Dapper.

He is preceded in death by his son-in-law, Michael Keilty; mother, Leona Gallagher; grandchildren, Timothy Ryan and Tamara Lynn O'Boyle; and his dog "Cinnamon."

"Celebration of Life" will be held Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 12:00 PM, Jefferson Township Lions Club, Route 348 & Lions Road, Mt. Cobb, PA. In lieu of flowers the family has requested you send donations in Ronald's name to: Girard College Alumni Class of 1957 Scholarship Fund, C/O Bruce Perazelli, 62 Berlin Road, Stratford, NJ 08084.
