| GAMEZ, Richard O. "Dickie" Richard O. "Dickie" Gamez, 69, of Casa Grande died May 7, 2009 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The funeral will follow at 10. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Mr. Gamez was born Jan. 24, 1940 in Tucson and was a son of Ventura Gamez and Rita Ortega. He was a block layer. He enjoyed spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Connie T.; two daughters, Norma Brown of Eloy and Mona Steinhoff of Casa Grande; two sons, Ricky Gamez of Goodyear and Roy Gamez of Casa Grande; five brothers, Charles Gamez of Victorville, Calif., Gilbert and Eddie Gamez of Casa Grande, Alex Gamez of Tucson and Eugene Gamez of Eloy; a sister, Olga Alcantar of Casa Grande; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Published in the Casa Grande Dispatch May 9, 2009. |
