| COLLINS, JoAnn JoAnn Collins, 65, of Safford passed away Sunday, April 19, in Pima. JoAnn was born April 5, 1944, in Safford to Fred J. Herst and Bessie Wadkins Sparks. She graduated from Safford High School in 1962 and married Walter “Sandy” Collins. JoAnn belonged to the BPW, earning Woman of the Year. She and Sandy purchased the Daily Stop in 1998, and she enjoyed visiting with her customers. She was a very generous and loving friend. She gave of her time, money and anything she had to anyone in need. JoAnn was a wonderful wife and mother. JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Sandy Collins, in January of this year. She is survived by her children, Cindy (Terry) Donham, Brandon Collins, Scott Collins, Craig Collins, Tiffani (Felix) Vasquez, Stephani Collins and Robert (Shannon) Rice; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild (expected in October); and siblings, Debra Emerson and Tim Sparks. Funeral services were Saturday, April 25, at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Friends and family called Friday evening at the Caldwell Funeral Chapel. Interment was at the Safford Cemetery.
