Yaeko Ramey, 73, of Goodyear died April 23, 2009, in Goodyear. Mrs. Ramey was born April 16, 1936, in Kure, Japan. She worked as a seamstress at a naval base where she met her husband, Harold. She moved to Goodyear four years ago from Litchfield, Ill., where she had lived since 1975. She is survived by her daughter, Linda; and one granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold. Services were held April 29 in Goodyear. Interment will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Illinois. Yaeko came to Arizona and lived in Goodyear, about 4 years ago from Litchfield, Illinois where she had lived since 1975. She worked as a seamstress at a naval base where she met her husband, Harold who preceded her in death September 13, 1998. She liked sewing, gardening and riding her bicycle. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: daughter; Linda Ramey and granddaughter; Olivia Roush. Celebration of life service will take place 4:00-6:00 pm, Wednesday, April 29th at Tomo Japanese Cuisine, 1550 N. Dysart Rd., Goodyear, AZ.
