Keith Alan Erickson, age 61, passed away on April 28, 2009, in Prescott, Ariz. He was born in Pontiac, Mich., on Aug. 14, 1947. He graduated from Chula Vista High School in California in 1967. He was drafted into the Army Nov. 28, 1967, and served in Vietnam until July 2, 1969. He was seriously injured while serving in Vietnam and it affected him the rest of his life.

Keith had very strong beliefs about his salvation and is finally resting with the Lord. He was blessed to have spent his last months at Prescott Manor Assisted Living. Keith had been in several homes in the past but the loving care he received at that facility was special. His best prayer partner and friend for 17 years was Lee "Cobber" Dortoch. We will all miss him. But we are all convinced we will be together again.

Memorial service will be held at Prescott Manor, 533 W. Gurley St., 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2009, with military honors by American Legion Post #6.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.

Keith Alan Erickson, born Aug. 14, 1947, in Pontiac, Mich., passed away April 28, 2009, in Prescott. He is survived by his sisters, Lori Warring and Judy Noland, both of Kingman.

Keith enlisted and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, and had been a resident of Kingman for 25 years. His passion was researching old railroad sites, where he found hundreds of bottles and antiques, which he shared with local businesses, the museum, the police and fire departments.

Keith spent years doing volunteer work for many local organizations from the DAV to the museum, and was a member of the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, which he and our father helped build.

Keith had a loving soul, he was a wonderful brother, my guardian angel, the perfect son and was kind to everyone he ever met; he will be laid to rest with our parents, Jake and Virginia Erickson, at Mountain View Cemetery.
