Ambrose Luther Meador

Cottonwood--Ambrose L. Meador, 90, who had worked as a cowboy and ranch hand for 76 years on ranches throughout Arizona, died April 5, 1984, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Phoenix.

Mr. Meador, of 119 Rocking Chair Road, was born in San Antonio, Texas, and resided in Arizona 84 years. He served in the Army in World War I and had lived in Phoenix, Glendale and Wickenburg before moving to Cottonwood.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; stepdaughter, Shirley Cossette; stepsons, Charles McWhirt, Boyd W. and Thomas O. Reed; 15 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are pending and will be held at Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Cottonwood. Green Acres Mortuary, Glendale, made arrangements.
