Suicide With Giant Powder.

Charles Duane, a miner at Chaparral, committed suicide on Saturday by blowing himself up with giant powder.

Deceased had been sick for some time, and on Saturday tried to get a pistol to end his troubles with. Failing in this, he secured two sticks of giant powder and placed them under his head, with fuse and cap attached, and then lighted the fuse. His head and shoulders were blown completely from his body, the only portion of the head that was found being a small piece of skull and part of one ear.

His remains were gathered up and brought to Prescott and buried yesterday afternoon.

Mr. Duane was highly respected by his fellow miners, and his untimely death is sorely regretted by them.
