The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, May 05, 2009 Prescott-area 12-step groups lost a longtime friend and mentor Sunday, May 3, 2009, with the passing of Tatiana Tania Kester. For over 30 years she brightened many corners and gave hope and direction to many people, especially struggling young women. Tania was born on Dec. 12, 1942, in Ukrainia, southwest of Kiev near Poltava. When her family became homeless, stateless refugees during the war years, they immigrated to this country when Tania was only six years old. Tania is survived by Chuck, her sidekick on their 24 years of exciting travel adventures and beautiful discoveries. She is also survived by children and stepchildren Christina, Natalie, Bill, Malinda, Lorraine, Michelle and eight grandchildren. A joyful gathering in celebration of her inspirational life will take place at Safe Harbor in a few weeks and will be announced with a public notice and flyers. Information provided by survivors. |
