Estimable Pioneer Woman is Called
Mrs. Hannah M. Bates, one of the most lovable of women, and for over 45 yers a resident of this county, passed away yesterday afternoon at her home in Prescott after a long illness.
The deceased enjoyed a splendid name in the county, and her many acts of kindness give her a well deserved name as being most charitably inclined.
At her side when the summons came was a sister, Mrs. Peat, her only known relative in the country.
Mrs. Bates was a native of England, coming to the United States when quite young.
The remains are at Ruffner's.
