(From Monday's Daily)

Mrs. Sarah J. Pedgrift, wife of Sam Pedgrift, died yesterday, after a somewhat protracted illness.

She came here over a year ago with her husband and two daughters, in the hopes of receiving benefit from this climate but her disease was of such a nature that climate had no effect on it, and she grew gradually worse until relieved of her sufferings by death.

Her loss will be greatly felt, and not only by her husband and daughters, but by a large circle of friends, to whom she became endeared by her noble traits of character and who assisted her family in caring for her and ministering to her wants during her illness.

Deceased was 44 years of age and was a devoted wife and loving mother.

The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Catholic church of which she was a devoted and consistent member.

Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited.

Transcriber's note: Mrs. Pedgrift is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona.
