Albert Edwin Curry December 23, 1917 – December 23, 2008 12/31/08 On December 23, 2008, his 91st birthday, Albert Edwin Curry went home to be with the Lord and his beloved wife, Lona. Al and Lona moved to Oracle in 1985 from Grass Valley, California. Al was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Mammoth and was an avid woodworker/toymaker who spread joy to many children (and even a few adults) every Christmas through the gift of these toys. “Pops” as he was known by his family, is survived by his sons, William B. (Sherrill) Curry of Oracle, David A. (Linda) Curry and Richard A. Curry, all of Kila, Montana; brother, Charles (Nellie) Curry of Lake Melton, Ohio; two granddaughters; and one great grandson. Memorial services will be held on Friday, Jan. 2, 2009 at 2 p.m., at First Baptist Church in Mammoth. Interment will take place Friday morning prior to the service, in Oracle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church Children’s Program, 103 West Galiuro, Mammoth, Arizona 85618. Arrangements were entrusted to Evergreen Mortuary and Cemetery, North Oracle Road and West Miracle Mile, Tucson. |
