Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ >>> Published on Friday, May 26, 2017 <<< On May 19, 2017 Sandra Lea Alexander. 74, went home to Jesus. Sandra (Sandy) was born April 12, 1943, the daughter of Valentine and Winifred Wenker. She grew up in Tolley, North Dakota, where she married Dale Elwood Alexander. In 1967, Sandy and Dale moved to Fife, Washington. Sandy had many dear friends. She was outgoing, the life of any party, and always ready for a game of cards. She enjoyed traveling and making new friends on adventures all over the country. In her later years, she lived in sunny Lake Havasu City, where she enjoyed spending time with friends, family, and her two dogs, Tilly and Tookie. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale, and her brother, Wesley Wenker. Sandy is survived by her sister, Cindy Nieland; four children: Drasann McDowell, Ronnie Alexander, Lonnie Alexander and Cheryl Peterson; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A celebration of life is set for 3 - 5 p.m., Tuesday, May 30 at the American Legion. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
