Cecile Juanita Edwards of Phoenix, Arizona went to be with the Lord on 04-30-03. Born 04-20-23 in Camp, Arkansas. Moving to Phoenix in December, 1951. She resided in the same home designed & built by husband, Bill, herself, and daughter Helen. Purchasing the corner lot for $700, a dichondra lawn was planted along with branches of mulberry trees which produced huge shade trees. While a longtime homemaker, Cecile worked in a defense plant during WWII and was known as one of the "Rosie the Riveters". Remembered for her strong faith in the Lord, Cecile was a member of Westcroft Baptist Church for over 50 years. Cecile's love for camping, fishing, & southern style cooking often brought family members together. Survivors include daughter (Helen & husband, Wayne), sister (Doris Massingale, grandson (Richard), two granddaughters (Connie, Jeanette), great-grandchildren & relatives throughtout Arkansas. Preceded in death by her husband (William F.), 7 brothers & sisters, granddaughter (Sarah Ann Fox), son-in-law (Eldon Gene Fox) & son-in-law (Harold W. Kennedy). Visitation and Celebration of Life were held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ.
