Betty Carol Haugen, our precious wife, mother, sister, aunt and
grandmother left this world on Friday, July 7, 2017 to be in the
comfort of her heavenly Father, as well as her son Kenneth Jr.

Betty was born in the great state of Texas and had a lifelong pride
about her birth state. Though she stood at only 5'2" and all of
100lbs, her smile would light up a room. She had fierce spirit when
it came to her family whom she loved dearly. "Don't mess with Texas"
she would say if ever she felt the need to defend any of her family
members. We will all miss her love of "Elvis" and "George Strait"
and her fun loving spirit and the overwhelming joy she brought into
the lives of the family she so loved.

In 1962 Betty married the love of her life, Kenneth Haugen in Clark
County, Nevada. Kenneth served in the United States Navy. They
settled in Buena Park, California to raise all four of their
children, Donna, Ronnie, Kenneth Jr., and Dennis. Raising her
children and being married to Kenneth was one of her proudest
accomplishments. She enjoyed watching her kids play sports and going
to school plays and watching her kids play with the neighborhood
friends in Buena Park. She always enjoyed family and friends
gathering with so much food cooking in the kitchen, you could feed
the entire block! She enjoyed camping and fishing with family while
her children were growing and watching all the cousins play and
hanging out at the camp fire and later she also enjoyed the same
with her grandkids.

Betty and Ken retired in Lake Havasu City and she was a member of
the American Legion Woman's Auxiliary. She made many wonderful
friends. She took pride in sharing the love of the American Legion
with her family and friends and going on motorhome trips with legion
family.

Betty and Ken where married for 55 years and they enjoyed those
year's together watching the Diamondbacks and the Arizona Cardinals,
fishing and camping in the motorhome together.

She will be deeply missed by all: her husband Kenneth, daughter,
Donna (Jeff and Holly), son Ronny, son Dennis (Tina), Justin,
Kaitlyn and Lauren), and by her great grandchild Paxton. Her
brothers, Sonny, Johnny (Jill), Jim (Pam), sister, Nancy (Bill) and
numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration of life in memory of Betty at 12:30 on
Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the American Legion Post 81 on 181 Paseo
Del Sol.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
