Gail MacCallum Ditto, born in Edmonton, Alberta, on June 3, 1944, died on Wednesday, May 4, 2017, at her home on Middle Mesa Drive in Wickenburg.

Gail Ditto came to Wickenburg more than 20 years ago. She and Art Ditto were married in Wickenburg in April 2004. During those years she was active in and contributed to a number of community venues.

As a member of the Los Caballeros Golf Club she was an accomplished, competitive golfer, skilled event planner and a formidable bridge player.

She was an enthusiastic horseman, exploring miles of local desert trails often at the gallop. She was a member of the Las Damas riding club for 15 years participating in monthly trail rides and many annual five day rides. She served as camp boss assistant for two years and boss for one. She also served as day-in-camp chair.

Gail had a lively interest in the WCcO (Wickenburg Cultural Children's Organization) supporting every event with funds and her presence. She shared its mission to promote music in youngsters with family and friends and was attentive to their efforts.

Gail was devoted to all aspects of the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts, from the stage to the youth programs, generously giving of time and funds. She and Art were frequent season sponsors for the theater's annual series of shows and dependable yearly contributions to Camp Imagination. She served on the center's board of directors from 2009 to 2015 as an executive committee member and chaired the fund development committee.

At home, Gail created frequent gourmet dinners in beautiful surroundings. In her younger days she was a hot shot on the ski slopes. She was known to fondly recall skiing 90 days in a row. In all her varied activities she could be counted on for camaraderie.

She is survived by her husband Art; four stepsons Todd, Mathew, Steven and Andrew; three nieces Lana Lastovic, Wendy Cabella and Carol Hayes; and several other relatives in Alberta.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends in the fall 2017. Should anyone wish to make a gift in Gail's memory, the family would welcome contributions to the Del E. Webb Center for the Performing Arts.
