Arizona Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, March 16, 1892, page 3, column 2 Miss Lizzie Martin, seventeen years of age, died this morning at 10 o'clock at the residence of her parents on South Marina street after an illness of only three days. The death of this young lady and her loss to loving parents is particularly sad and a heavy blow. Just entering the morning of womanhood, her life has been a comfort to home in many devoted and tender acts, and the sting of death coming as it does just as the throes of a general family affliction had been passed makes their grief all the more inconsolable and appeals pathetically to all. Transcribe's note: Miss Martin is buried at the Citizens Cemetery in Prescott, Arizona. See Also: Arizona Gravestone Photo Project |
