John Dana Pollard, a 19-year resident of Lake Havasu City, passed
away peacefully Aug. 21, 2017 with his loving daughter Dana in his
arms.

John was born in Ipswich, Massachusetts in 1935 and graduated from
Ipswich High School in 1952.

In 1954, John joined the United States Air Force where he served
honorably and proudly for 28 years (and two days).

He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars and had served in
Iceland, England, Guam, Philippines, Germany, as well as various
bases in the United States. John retired in 1982 as a Senior Master
Sergeant from Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina.

John enjoyed dancing, bowling, his beloved Boston Bruins and was a
15-year member of the London Bridge Hackers golf club as well as a
member of the Eagles, American Legion Post 81 and the Air Force
Sergeants Association.

John was preceded into Heaven by his beloved wife of 37 years, June,
as well as son, Curtis Birley.

He is survived by his children Dana Pollard Carulli (Frank), Darlene
Freitag (Stephen), Lisa Gamble, Rick Prose (Barbara), Clif Birley
(June), Gene Pollard (Christa), 17 grandchildren and 20 great-
grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 P.M. on September 23, 2017 at the
American Legion.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Hospice of Havasu.

Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
