The Prescott Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, October 23, 1991, page B2, column 4 Clinton Acrey Clinton "Walt" Acrey, 68, died Oct. 22, 1991, at the Prescott Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born May 25, 1923 in Phoenix to Clinton and Edna (Kuykendall) Acrey. Mr. Clinton was raised in Skull Valley and graduated from Prescott High School in 1942. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II. He married Ester Sirena Quain May 18, 1963, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a self-employed carpenter, building homes and commercial structures. He built the Hitching Post Trailer Park in Prescott. He lived in Escalante, Utah, from 1975 - 1990, returning to Chino Valley in 1990. He was a member of the Lions Club in Escalente. He is survived by his wife, E. Sirena Acrey of Chino Valley; a stepson, William A. "Bill" Culver of Prescott Valley; a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Kevin Conover of Sterling, Utah; a stepdaughter, Jackie Culliano of Las Vegas; a brother-in-law William Crouse of Clarkdale; a sister and brother-in-law, Sara and David Yost of Harrisburg, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Helen Crouse. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m. at the Skull Valley Cemetery, Skull Valley, Pastor Charles E. Cook will be the officiant. See Also: Arizona Gravestone Photo Project |
