Bill Pedrin, 45, passed away January. 16, 2002, in a car accident on Highway 372 in Pahrum, Nevada. He was born Aug. 1, 1956, in Painesville, Ohio, and moved to San Manuel with his family in 1971. He attended San Manuel High School and later worked for the mines in the area. In the early 1980’s, he worked on the construction of the Biosphere and later moved to Colorado where he also worked in the mines. He later married and had a daughter, Tina. He was a hard worker and enjoyed mining and construction work which took him to many states, Arizona, California, Colorado and Nevada where he was last working at a borax mine in Death Valley, CA. He is survived by his parents, John and Elva Pedrin, of Buena Vista, CO; sisters, Hazel Porior and Yolanda Pedrin, also of Buena Vista, CO, Veronica Jo-Anne (Larry) Nelson, of San Manuel; brothers, John E. Pedrin, of Denver, CO and his daughter, Tina; one granddaughter; grandmother, Carmen Reyes, of San Diego, CA; uncles, Don Bushnell, of Buena Vista, CO, Robert (Shelly) Bushnell, of Phoenix and many nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends. He will be missed by many. A memorial service is pending and his ashes will be scattered in the Arkansas River. The San Manuel Miner 01/29/02. |
