Arizona Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, August 8, 1894, page 3, column 5 (From Monday's Daily) W. H. Billings, the shoemaker at the Granite creek bridge, died this morning at fifteen minutes before 6 o'clock. He had been sick about a month. A part of this time he spent at his ranch just east of town, but recovering slightly, returned to his shop and worked about a week. On July 28th he took to his bed and has been unable to be up since. Overwork and lack of exercise produced a complication of diseases, which baffled the skill of the physician and resulted in his death. The remains were taken to Undertaker Logan's, from where the funeral will take place to-morrow morning at 10 o'clock. Deceased was a native of Illinois, aged about 44 years. ------------------------------------------------- Arizona Weekly Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Wednesday, August 8, 1894, page 3, column 6 (From Tuesday's Daily) The funeral of the late W.
