David B. Hjelm passed peacefully in the kind and caring hands of
Hospice of Havasu Nov. 11, 2017.

The youngest of nine children, David was born Feb. 28, 1932 to
Alfred and Augusta (Lein) Hjelm in Westby, Montana.

Dave proudly served his country during the Korean War in the U.S.
Air Force. After a lengthy career as an industrial engineer with The
Boeing Company, he retired to Lake Havasu City in 1996.

He was a member of the American Legion, the Elks and the Fraternal
Order of Eagles.

He was a kind, caring and generous man with a heart of gold and was
loved by many.

He was predeceased by his parents and eight siblings. He leaves
behind two sons, Rex and Douglass Hjelm of Seattle and countless
friends who adored him, both in Lake Havasu City and the Seattle
area.

As per his request, no services will be held, but an appropriate
send off in his honor will be held at a later date at the Eagles
Aerie 4299.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Havasu are suggested.
