John V. Madrid

John V. Madrid, 43, of Kearny, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2002. He was born Oct. 9, 1958, in Tucson and had lived most of his life in the Copper Basin area.

He attended high school in San Manuel and Hayden and was a tile setter by trade. He also drove heavy duty equipment for a construction company.

He was a very loving child and loved his family and friends. Making friends was very easy for him. He was a very talented artist and barber and was also a mechanic, and car and truck enthusiast. He loved food and Outlaw Country music.

Survivors include his father, John V (Vicki) Madrid Sr. of Kearny; mother, Vicki (Richard) Carlson of Saratoga Springs, Utah; grandmother, Anne Swope of San Diego, California; sisters, Carmen Arbizo of Houston, Texas, and Rachelle Drage of Lehi, Utah; three nieces and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, David Vicari.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, May 21, at Griffith Mortuary in Kearny with Bruce Griffith officiating. Interment followed at Kearny Memorial Cemetery in Kearny.
