Born in Chicago, Illinois on Oct. 31, 1918.
Departed on Jan. 12, 2005 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Robert W. Guhl, 81 of Cottonwood went home to be with the Lord on January 12. He was attended in his home by his wife Barbara and Hospice of Northern Arizona.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois and retired in 1989 and moved with his wife to Cottonwood in 1993.

Mr. Guhl retired as a baker with Entenmanns in Northlake, Ill.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 0335 in River Grove, Illinois. He enjoyed golf, and was a sports fan who enjoyed watching baseball.

Besides his wife of 34 years, Barbara Guhl, he leaves a son, Robert P. Guhl of Crystal Lake, Ill.; two daughters, Diane Siedlar (Jerry) of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Cara King of Homer Glen, Ill.; a brother Richard (Ruth) Guhl of Elmwood Park, Ill.; a sister, Elaine (Robert) Evans of Melrose Park, Ill.; and a grandson, Erik Paul Guhl. He was preceded in death by another grandson, Julian T. King.

There are no public services planned.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Northern Arizona Hospice, 269 S. Candy Lane, Cottonwood, Ariz., 86326.
