Mary M. Burns, 84, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2007. She was born on October 5, 1922 to Agapito and Elidia Magana in Flagstaff, where she grew up and graduated from the local high school.

Mary worked as a Restaurant Manager for Manuel’s Mexican Food Restaurant on 32nd Street and Indian in Phoenix, where she dedicated 25 years of her service. She also worked 11 years for Guerros Mexican Food Restaurant in Cottonwood.

She is Preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, William Jack Burns. Mary leaves behind two sons, Robert J. Frost of Cottonwood, and William James Burns of Phoenix; one daughter, Mary J. Kunna, husband, Frederick of Tacoma, Wash.; one brother, Jimmy Magana of Cottonwood; three sisters, Tommie Wimmer, husband, Arthur of Cottonwood, Rose Snyder of Cottonwood, and Margie Hinkle of Phoenix; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
