Dorothy D. White Born in Middle Verde, Arizona on April 13, 1913. Departed on May 14, 2002 and resided in Middle Verde, Arizona. Dorothy D. White, 89, of Middle Verde, died May 14, 2002. She was born April 13, 1913 in Middle Verde. She was a Baptist who enjoyed housecleaning. She attended the Phoenix Indian School. Dorothy and her husband Wesley were the Grand Marshalls of the 1997 Fort Verde Days Parade in Camp Verde. She loved traditional dances and songs. Her husband, Wesley White, preceded her in death. She outlived most of her relatives. She leaves a sister-in-law, Flora Kinsey, twenty-three grandchildren and thirty-four great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 21 at the Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 22 in the Cultural Hall of the Yavapai-Apache Nation in Middle Verde at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Middle Verde Tribal Cemetery.
