James Murrietta Sr. Casa Grande Dispatch (AZ) - Friday, October 18, 2002 ELOY - Jaimie "James" Murrietta Sr., 49, of Eloy died Oct. 17, 2002 in Casa Grande. Visitation will be from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at St. Helen's Catholic Church. Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Martin Martinez. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park. Mr. Murrietta was born July 19, 1953 in Casa Grande to Baltazar and Edwarda (Garcia) Murrietta. He played football and wrestled while at Santa Cruz Valley Union High School. He was a carpenter and worked at Hexcel Corp. He had a passion for classic rock music, especially Carlos Santana. He enjoyed woodworking and his family. He was a lifelong Arizona resident. Survivors include his mother, of Eloy; two sons, Jaimie Murrietta Jr. of Gilbert and Nikos Murrietta of Casa Grande; his companion of two years, Georgia Valenzuela; two sisters, Dalia Guevara of Tucson and Piedad Sanchez of Rimforest, Calif.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and a son, Estephan Murrietta. Simes Mortuaries Casa Grande Chapel is in charge of arrangements. |
