Born in Wickenburg, Arizona on Aug. 31, 1945.
Departed on May 2, 2005 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Raymond LeRoy Gilbert II, 59, of Cottonwood died May 2. He was born August 31, 1945 in Wickenburg.

He was a retired truck driver with Teamsters Local #104.

Mr. Gilbert was a huge NASCAR fan, raced motorcycles, enjoyed cooking and baking, television and movies, cars, was an animal lover and also had been a photographer.

He leaves two sons, Mark Landa of Pheonix and Robert Gilbert of Scottsdale; his mother Norma L. Gilbert of Cottonwood; brothers, Larry L. Gilbert of Buckeye and David L. Gilbert of Glendale; and one grandchild.

His father Raymond L. Gilbert preceded him in death.

Services will be held at a later date.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Verde Valley Humane Society, P O Box 1429, Cottonwood, Arizona, 86326.
