David A. Anderson

Born in Albert Lea, Minnesota on June 5, 1935.
Departed on Sept. 30, 2004 and resided in Sedona, Arizona.

David A. Anderson, 69, a resident of Sedona was born June 5, 1935 in Albert Lea, Minn., and entered into eternal life September 30, 2004 in Cottonwood, Arizona.

David is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley, and his daughters, Karie Bethell, and Koni Anderson; son-in-law, John Bethell; grandsons Brad & Shawn Bethell, Joshua Cunningham; granddaughter, Jennifer Cunningham, granddaughter-in-law Tara Bethell; and sister, Mary Lou Howland.

David was a hairstylist for 25 years in Glendale, Ariz. After moving to Sedona, he enjoyed his work at Petrolane and Enchantment Resort.

In his early years, David directed a Folk Choir and a youth choir at American Lutheran Church and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. He was an outstanding tenor and soloist.

He coached youth basketball and men's softball teams. His love of sports included bowling, tennis and golf.

Services will be held Saturday, October 9, at 2 p.m., at Christ Lutheran Church, 25 Chapel Road, Sedona, Ariz.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be made to the music program at Christ Lutheran Church. Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family.
