Russell Goodwin Small, Sr. Born in Everett, Massachusetts on Nov. 28, 1911. Departed on June 30, 2004 and resided in Camp Verde, Arizona. Russell Goodwin Small, Sr. of Camp Verde died June 30. He was born November 28, 1911 in Everett, Massachusetts. He worked for Kidder Peabody Stock Brokerage in Boston and moved to Phoenix in 1948. He owned a vending machine company, retired and moved to Camp Verde in 1988. He was a member of the Camp Verde Kiwanis Club and the Camp Verde Senior Citizens Club. Mr. Small was the first hired employee of Camp verde's Dairy Queen where he worked for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, M. Jessie Small, a son, Russell Small, Jr.; one brother and a sister. He is survived by daughters, Linda Mattioda and her husband Jim; Diane Wade of Camp Verde; a sister, Lillian Leen; a daughter in law, Marie T. Small; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The family services will be private. Westcott Funeral Home served the family.
