He was born December 11, 1935 in Warsaw, Indiana. He was a Marine Corps veteran. He leaves his wife, Marilyn Eckert; a daughter, Roni Eckert of Waukesha, Wisc.; two sons, Randy Eckert and Roger Eckert both of Apache Junction, Ariz.; his mother, Mildred Eckert of Atwood, Ind.; a brother, Larry L. Eckert of Auburn, Ill. and six grandchildren. There are no public services planned. Westcott Funeral was entrusted with these arrangements.
