Prescott Journal Miner, Prescott, Arizona Territory Saturday, September 26, 1908, page 5, column 3 Ancient Miner Dies After an illness of thirty-two days, Gus Engvall succumbed yesterday morning at 3 o'clock in the Mercy hospital to a virulent attack of typhoid fever. Hi remains were laid to rest yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock in the Citizens cemetery. The funeral was under the direction of the Maus and Shannon undertaking establishment. Engvall was fifty years old, a native of Sweden. He was a miner by occupation and had been a resident of this county twenty years. He leaves no immediate family in this section.
