Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 - Kathleen Ann Day, 77, of Lake Havasu City, passed away Feb. 1, 2018. Her family said they know she is now in the arms of Jesus, whom she so faithfully served. Kathy was born Sept. 30, 1940, in Los Angeles, the daughter of Wallace and Dorothy Curry. She graduated from Franklin High School in Los Angeles in 1958. She joined the United States Air Force and served honorably for four years. It was there she met her husband, Wallace Glen Day. They married June 11, 1966. They lived in Los Angeles and Washington until retiring to Lake Havasu City in 1994. It was here where Glen preceded her in death. Kathy loved the Lord and had a heart for service. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church and was extremely involved in all aspects of the church as well as a member of the Catholic Daughters. She was a volunteer at the hospital and a very active member of the auxiliary for 24 years. Kathy was known by everyone she met as a kind, loving and giving friend. Kathy is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Day; parents Wallace and Dorothy Curry. Her sister, Jeanne, followed her to Heaven just a few hours later. She is survived by her brother, John (Julie) Curry, brother-in-law Al; three nieces and a nephew. Kathy, we all love and miss you! A rosary is at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church on Friday, Feb. 16, at 10:30 a.m. with a funeral mass to follow at 11 a.m. Services were placed in the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
