John W. Brown

VALLEY FARMS - John W. Brown, 69, of Valley Farms died Oct. 25, 2006.
The memorial service was held at Simes Mortuaries Florence Chapel.

Mr. Brown was born Feb. 5, 1937 in Manila, Ark., to Finece and Novala L. (Thomas) Brown. He served in the Army during the Korean War and received a Purple Heart. He was a hard worker and a supervisor for Magma Copper Company. He also owned and operated a trucking company.

He loved good music and spending time with his friends and family. He had a great sense of humor, was generous and a good listener, gave good advice and was devoted to his children and grandchildren. He lived in Arizona for 40 years.

Survivors include three sons, William Brown and Daniel P. Knight of Florence and Sean R. Knight of Phoenix; two daughters, Deborah Roberson of Oklahoma City and Donna J. Salazar of Florence; a sister, Barbara Vandriesche of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Dorothy.
