| Frances Mary (Rees) Shipman Born in Jerome, Ariozna on Oct. 2, 1913. Departed on Sept. 24, 2003 and resided in Cottonwood, Arizona. Frances Mary Shipman, 89, of Cottonwood died September 24. Frances was born on October 2, 1913 in Jerome, Arizona to Minerva and David Rees. She grew up in Cottonwood and Jerome, graduated from Jerome High School. She then moved to Tempe, Arizona where she attended teachers college. She later moved to California, where she raised three children. In 1970 she returned to Arizona and lived in Paulden for a number of years. In 1992 she returned to the Verde Valley which she dearly loved. She is survived by two daughters, Marian Hathaway and Sylvia Calvert and a son, Rees Barr, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Private family services were held. Westcott Funeral Home handled these arrangements. Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood and Camp Verde, Arizona. |
