Oscar Hernandez, 79, of Cottonwood died December 10, 2003. He was born January 2, 1924 in Tombstone, Arizona.

He was a retired saleman. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.

He attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was formerly a member of St. Cecilia's Mission Catholic Church.

He leaves two daughters, Evie Scott of Scotland and Terry Lay of Cottonwood; two sons, Oscar Hernandez and Michael Hernandez, both of Cottonwood; three half brothers, Raymond Garcia, Edward Garcia and Adolf Garcia, all of California; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

There are no public services planned.

Westcott Funeral Home assisted the family with the arrangements.
