| Wickenburg Sun (Wickenburg, Arizona) Wednesday, November 8, 2017, p. A-5 Barbara Jane Dennis, 74, passed away Nov. 3, 2017, at her home in Circle City. Barbara was born in Pennsylvania to John and Anna Dermer. She was the fifth of nine children. Barbara met and married Jerry, her loving husband of 53 years, in Bozeman, Mont. Jerry's job with BearCat Manufacturing brought the family to Wickenburg in 1977. Barbara was an avid seamstress operating Barbie's Place out of her home for more than 20 years where she made and sold doll clothes to fit Barbie, Cabbage Patch and American Girl, bringing smiles to lots of young faces. Prior to her illness Barbara was very active with the Mount Hope Assembly of God Church and the Wickenburg Art Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, several siblings and her sons Jerry Jr. and Russell. Barbara is survived by her husband Jerry; son Ricky (Jane) Dennis; daughters-in-law Patty Dennis (Russell) and Janiel Dennis (Jerry Jr.); five grandchildren Janesta, Anthony, Kathleen, Hannah and Chris; five step-children; and one great-grandson Eric. The family suggests any memorial contributions in Barbara's memory be made to the Mt. Hope Assembly of God Church "Barbara Dennis Memorial Fund". Arrangements are under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home & Crematory. |
