Trudy Hetherington Lamont, 64, passed away March 7, 2018 at her home
in Lake Havasu City after a brief bout with cancer, surrounded by her
family and friends.

Trudy was born Aug. 2, 1953 in London, Ontario, Canada to William
Benjamin and Shirley Irene Hetherington. She immigrated to the United
States in 1957 with her older brothers Terrence and Russell. Trudy
lived in Illinois and Louisiana before settling in Pasadena,
California.

In elementary school, Trudy was chosen to move ahead and skip a grade
with her friends Sharon Shima and Cloe Mayes Yocum. Trudy attended
McKinley Junior High and John Muir High School, where she first met
Peter Lamont. She graduated in 1970. While attending Pasadena City
College, she renewed her friendship with Peter. They married on Feb.
10, 1973.

Throughout her life, Trudy held various positions within the insurance
and mortgage banking industries. She was intelligent, compassionate
and had a great knack as a problem solver. She was a confidant, mentor
and trusted friend to many, and above all, a loving wife and mother.

Trudy lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She was an
avid reader and liked spending her time at the river with her husband,
family and all of her friends. Another passion of hers was going on
Caribbean cruises every now and then with her husband and various
cruising buddies.

Trudy is survived by her husband Peter of 45 years, daughters Michelle
Lynn and Nicole Marie and her brother Terrence Hetherington, as well
as her four grandchildren: Meaghan, Anthony, Logan and Ben.

Family and friends will gather at the Bethany Bible Church in Havasu
on Saturday, March 17, at 3 p.m. for a celebration of life for Trudy.
