Daily Miner, Kingman, Arizona - Posted on Sunday, March 18, 2018 - Norma L. Mason went to be with Our Lord on March 7, 2018. Norma made her home in Kingman in 2005. She worked for Angels on Duty from that time until shortly before her death. She leaves behind five brothers and her sister, several nieces and nephews, and many who loved her. Norma was a caregiver all her life. At a very young age she was called upon to care for her siblings, then almost single handedly to care for her mother until her passing. In 2017 unaware that she herself had cancer, she received the Kingman Daily Miner Caregiver of the Year Award. She was an Elder at her church. She told her pastors five days before she passed, “That all this was palatable (referring to the pain and loss of her life) because she knew they loved her.” Then she told them that she would see them later, not referring to here on earth but in heaven. That was my sister Norma. I am so grateful that she lived in a community she loved and a community that loved her. She will be missed by so many. A memorial service for Norma will be held at Kingman Presbyterian Church on March 31, 2018 at 3 p.m. |
