Rebecca "Becky" L. Norris (Wilkins) passed away peacefully on Dec. 4, 2017 at the hospice of the valley in Surprise. At her bedside were her parents, family and friends.

Becky is survived by her loving parents, George E. Sr. and Vivian Wilkins, sisters; Debra Jo Wright (Paul) and Stefanie K. Kirkendall, of Wickenburg. She was "Aunt Becky" to many children. She was close to her nieces and nephews; Cody (Chad) Waddell, Morton S. "Jonny" Thomas IV, George (Emily) Wilkins III, July (John) Hogue (Thomas), Stefan Kirkendall, R.J. (Sarah) Wilkins and Jaimie (Matt) Melilli and 12 well-loved great nieces and nephews.

Much of Beck's childhood was spent riding horseback, hunting, fishing, trapping and camping with her father George Sr. She was "Daddy's Sidekick" they spent many days in remote and rugged country of the "Arizona Strip" in the woods of the Grand Canyon's northern rim.

Becky graduated in 1972 from WHS. Graduating with honors; she then attended Northern Arizona University followed by a career in welding. She was employed by Brown and Root and later Bagdad Welding. Battling the pain and crippling effects of Rheumatoid Arthritis, Becky blazed a trail for women in a male-dominated world of industrial construction. She was respected by her peers and considered an accomplished welder.

Becky operated a riding stable in Wickenburg before making her home in Congress. She enjoyed many hobbies, dear friends and memories. She was a rock hound and horsewoman. She loved reading books and mentoring children. She loved music, cowboys, Mountain Dew and everything Harley.

Enduring years of pain and crippling, Beck never lost her spirit, spunk or determination. A truly unique individual, this Christian cowgirl lived life on her own terms. She will forever be remembered by those who loved her.

Services were held Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Faith Baptist church in Wickenburg. Pastor Hull officiated the service. Arrangements made by Wickenburg Funeral Home and Crematory.
