Charles “Chuck” Edwin Taylor Jr, 48, loved to color outside the
lines. Because of this, Chuck lived an unequivocally extraordinary
life. Some days the lines were big, bold and courageous. On those
days you might have found Chuck gracing the world’s opera and
concert stages with his unmistakably magnificent voice, or in a hot
air balloon asking his love to share his life with him, or in a
hospital bed fighting cancer, so as to share as many days on earth
with his children as possible.

Some days Chuck’s palette held the most vibrant colors. On those
days, you would have found him in the presence of any number of his
countless friends - and whether it was around a table, or a
campfire, on a road trip with the radio blaring, or wading in the
quiet water with a cigar in his mouth, waiting for the fish to bite,
no matter the setting, where one or more were gathered in Chuck’s
presence, there was laughter - can’t-catch-your-breath laughter. But
it was the soft pastel days in Chuck’s life that he cherished most:
holding his children, not just for the first time, but each and
every time; listening to his dad or grandpa tell a story like only
they can tell; calling his mom to tell her he had met “the one” and
that she was from her native Pennsylvania; catching his brother’s
equally mischievous eye, their silent thoughts in full agreement.
Chuck left no hue untouched. Chuck entered the kingdom of heaven on
Tuesday, March 6th, 2018. Chuck was an alumnus of Prescott H.S. and
a 1988 graduate of Marcoma Bible Academy in Talequa, Oklahoma. Chuck
was a graduate of the Metropolitan Opera’s Lindemann Young Artist
Program, and an Artist-In-Residence at Colorado State University.

Chuck is survived by his children, Cecilia Clare (C.C.) and Charles
“Chet” Edwin Taylor III; his parents, Charles Edwin Taylor Sr., and
Diana Rahe Taylor; his brother and sister-in-law, Samuel Taylor and
Sherese (Oles) Taylor; his family and friends.

A celebration of Chuck’s life will be held on Saturday, March 17,
from 11 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Skull Valley Community Center. His
children ask that you wear bright colors.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider a donation to Chuck’s
children’s college funds. “Cecilia / Charles Taylor”, mailed to 149
W. 9th Avenue, Conshohocken PA 19428. Arrangements entrusted to
Hampton Funeral Home.
