Published in Today's News Herald on June 29, 2018 - Lake Havasu City, Arizona - Today heaven received another angel and one heck of a cowboy. Tony was born September 10, 1949 in Monterey Park, California to Hilda Elizabeth Linblad and Louis Jackson Carter. Tony went to school in California and worked different jobs so he could race cars. He was working on a race car when he met the love of his life. Tony and Paula Jo Valdez were married on December 1, 1972. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1969-1976 during the Vietnam War. Tony moved his family to Utah where he worked at Williams International. He made some great friends and had lifetime experiences when he worked for the Weber/Anderson livestock auction and Slash C Rodeo Company. Tony loved the rodeo life and made a point to cherish every memory. Tony and Paula moved to Lake Havasu in 2009. Tony is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, 3 unborn children and 2 unborn grandchildren. Survived by his wife Paula, sons Joseph (Jana), Benjamin (Brittany), and Jason Carter. Tony had 9 grandchildren who he adored and loved. Dakota, Dallon, Daemin, Shiann, Cade, Luke, Austin, Jailynn, and Rilyn. The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin O'Brien, Dr. Syed, Dr. Atassi, Dr. Whelan, and Dr. Saiz who took such good care of Tony over the last few years. Also thank you to HRMC, Skilled Nursing Unit, Parker hospital and the Polidori House and all the nurses who have cared for him as well. Services rendered by Lietz and Science Care. Celebration of life will be held at a later date. |
