King Smith Brewster

Posted 2009-05-28 by Fountain Hills Times
King Smith Brewster Sr. of Maricopa, formerly of Fountain Hills, entered this life Sept. 28, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah and left us quickly, but peacefully on Jan. 9, 2009.

Elena, his wife of 44 years, has lost her best friend and eternal mate. He was also survived by three children, Elena Benton of Georgia, King Brewster Jr. and Cara Tavita, both of Fountain Hills; along with five grandchildren, Ashley, Taz, King, Kolt and Mackenzie.

King attended college in Iowa and left school to play semi professional basketball and moved on to professional football. He was an avid tennis player reaching the Senior Nationals numerous times.

He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and diligently did the Lord’s work.

His motto was to live each day to the fullest. He can be quoted each and every night saying, “I can go to bed because I have truly done my all today.” King will be truly missed.

Private family services are being held.
